start dtterm with Cat

Simple one here that I have been scatching my head on. What to fire a dtterm and cat a simple flat file ito it. Each time I do it the window closes.

Can you show us the command you are using. I am assuming you are using a dtterm (terminal) and at the prompt, you are entering command "cat <filename>".
 
The -e option is a program argument (see man dtterm)... You specify a executable to run in the dtterm.
