I've done about 30 of these and the only thing that ever happened was that it wanted the location of the RAID driver, which was already sat in c:\windows\system32\drivers, I point the install to the above location and the upgrade carried on.
Apart from that I've never had any problems.
Oh yeah , the other thing I like to do before doing the upgrade is have everything at the latest possible driver/firmware version, ie RAID controller firmware, BIOS, NIC drivers, windows drivers for RAID/SCSI drives.
