We have an SSL site that worked fine until we did the latest Windows 2000 Server updates. Now the HTTPS site does not work, but the HTTP site does. When I try to go to the HTTPS site, it gives me the standard "Site not found" page.
Any help on how to resolve this would be helpful.

We installed the Security Update,November 20,2001
Version 6,4,9,11,21.

It's as though SSL functionality is gone from Win2K! 2 Servers were updated, 1 that had a SSL certificate and 1 that didn't. The functioning one on the first Server now doesn't work. Adding a SSL certificate to the second server that didn't have one also doesn't work.

Any help is appreciated!

TIA,
-Dave

What does it say in the secure communications section of the Internet Services Manager snap in? Can you view the certificate?

Another thing to try: In ISM, right-click on the web site you are having problems with, select properties, and make sure the 'SSL Port' in the website tab is set to 443 C:\DOS:>
C:\DOS:>RUN
RUN DOS RUN!!

Thank you for your reply.

We found that after the updates the certificate requires using the IP of the server rather than the Domain Name. This is odd since the certificate is tied to the Domain Name on that server, not the IP. But, oh well, it works now.

Best,
Dave
