SSL mod_gzip

For some reason, mod_gzip is reporting compression percents with https, as noted bellow:

mod_gzip: CAP_FILE_EMPTY In:0 -< Out:0 = 0 pct.

However, with http i get 83 pct. compression, is there a way to have https traffic report the same on mog_gzip logs?
