Hi

We have a new SRG50 implementation and I'm wondering about the setup.
We are connected to the CS1000 using SIP.
There are 4 POTS lines located at the SRG side to use to dial out while the SRG is in Local Mode.
There are 8 analog devices connected to the SRG.
Inbound and outbound calling is handled by a ISDN PRI at the CS1000 side.
We are being told that the analog stations need to dial out the POTS lines only in order to continue to use 9+ dialing if we lose connection to the main site.
I would think there has to be a way to have calls from the analog ports dial out the SIP trunks to the CS1000 site when the system is in normal mode and have both the IP Sets and Analog sets dial out the POTS lines when in local mode.

Anyone have an idea how to set this up or if my vendor is correct?

From the SRG Configuration Guide which can be downloaded from
"Analog telephones and devices connected to the SRG always function as local telephones to the SRG. They can use the VoIP trunk to the main office using access codes or destination codes, if the VoIP trunk line pool is assigned to the device, but the main office does not have any settings or administration for these devices." It goes on to explain how to connfigure DNs for analog devices.

From what I remember, you will need to program routing services on the SRG50. The first choice route will be IP Trunks, the "Normal" route will be the local trunks. Not many techs are out there that understand the routing service feature of the BCM but it should be available to you.

Hope this helps
Rob
