Sqlserver 2000 installation problem

Hi, I am trying to install SqlServer 2000 in my Windows NT workstation. I am getting the following error -

"A previous program installation created pending file operations on the installation machine. You must restart the computer before running setup."

The error message was encountered in the first run itself. Obviously I restarted my machine several times before posting the message here.

Please help ..

This is a known problem with many MS setup programs. To fix, open REGEDIT.EXE and find the following key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

Delete any PendingFileRenameOperations values in this key.
