Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way of obtaining a list of database tables that have been partitioned and the details about those partitions?

e.g. are there any system views or system stored procedures that can be utilized to return this information?

We have a requirement to build a UI that reports on table space usage, and allows large tables to have data removed if the files are above a certain size or data is above a certain range.

Thanks,

SSMS Has a Report that returns this information. You could probably look at the RDL file and get the info.

Sorry the report title is Disk Usage by Partition.

Thank you for your response!

I ran SQL Profiler to identify what queries were being executed by the RS report. This gave me a starting point to work from.

Regards,
