sql upgrade well almost

I have been tasked to upgrade an NT4 server running MSSQL V7 to win2000 server.
I have been looking for info on the pitfalls I will likely encounter, or if I can even do it.M$ site is kind of useless and have not found anything yet on the searches i have done.Has anyone done this before? The rumors say that the schema has to be extended, but I have not actually been able to find anything on it.
Any help or links would be welcomed.

I've done it about 5 times. The upgrade from NT4 to 2000 has no effect at all on SQL server. You should however do the usual backups just in case.
