Hello-

I'm running SQL Server 2000 on Win2k Server with Active Directory and I'm unable to connect to my instance of SQL Server from any computer but the computer that is running it. When I try to define a SQL Server Registration it waits about 15 seconds and says 'Timeout Expired'.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi,
Try to map a server share on the client. It seems that you have a problem of rigths.

Be sure that you give the complete name of the instance,
e.g. server_name\instance_name

I am using the full servername\instancename syntax. Is a server share any different than sharing a drive?
