Just purchased a HPML570 G3 server. I am not able to put the OS and the log both Raid 1+0 sets onto one channnel and the database Raid 5 on the other due to the physical drive cage make up. These new servers have a 8 + 2 Config. So which should I put; the OS or the Log, on the same channel with the Raid 5 Data Array for best perfomance?

If I have the options listed by your thread ... then I would choose to "carefully" have the OS and DB on RAID 5 channel and LOG on the 1+0

Thanks

I agree. Just try to keep your paging to a minimum so as not to fill the channels ability to pass data to the DB array.
