have an issue with SS2K Enterpirse where i am trying to set the SQL Server Properties - Connections tab options but they never stay set.
i am trying to enable "Allow other SQL Servers to connect remotely to this SQL Server using RPC" and "enforce Distributed transactions". whenever i check these boxes and click OK, then go back in, the are "UN-checked" again. i have tried stopping and starting SQL Server, SQL Server Agent, rebooted the machine, set the parameters with SQL Server Agent OFF and numerous othe combinations with no luck. they never stay selected.
Does anyone have the magical combination needed to set these params? Thanks
