SQL Server Service Manager is Not working

Due to change of password on Administrator...I am not able to start my SQL server...I am gettting message that "An Error 1069 (The service did not start due to a logon Failure) Occurred while performing this service operation on the MSSQL Server Service.

I need help .....

Hi,

I think this is what you are talking about:

You need to make sure that the MSSQLServer service and the SQLServerAgent accounts have been entered properly.

Just go to control panel/services and enter the correct passwords for them there...

I would recommend that you also use a valid NT domain account that has local administrator priviledges for these service accounts instead of using the built in admin account. This will allow your SQL server to talk to others in certain cases...
