SQL Server Replication Question

I am trying to setup SQL Server 2000 Replication over Internet

I have configured the Servers to use TCP/IP
I have setup the Publishers and a Publication
I am using one Server for Publisher/Distributor
I have enabled Publications to download data using FTP
I have setup the FTP site and Snapshot directories

My question is on the Subscriber side, to create a Pull Subscription I need to Register the Publisher Server, so that I can view the Publication. I need help on how to do that.

On the subscription server, I have tried to use the Client Network Utility, to use an ALIAS with the Publisher Server Name and IP address, but still I cannot Register the Publisher Server

Do I also need to perform some setups on Publisher Server for Subscribers ???
