Please don't laugh at me, but does anyone know if SQL Server will play well on a Token Ring network topology? We have a client living in the dark ages that refuses to upgrade their network and wants to run our software product over a token ring backbone. Any suggestions (other than upgrading the network) would be appreciated.

Hi There
It should be fine as SQL Server and ODBC are NOT aware of the underlying network protocol.
if you go to and search for token ring sql server and it should bring you back information from the newsgroups on "Sql Servers" and "Token Rings".
