Does anyone have experience with putting SQL Server on the same physical machine as a Windows Terminal Server 2003? I know Microsoft might frown upon it, but if I have enough memory and enough CPU power, is there a problem? I have a client with only 5 users and the Application they need to run has to go on a Terminal Server - and the DB is SQL Server.

It seems like overkill to make this client buy 2 servers for 5 users...

Please let me know if anyone has had experience with this or any general thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

It should be alright as long as you configure the SQL Server to not use all the memory and leave enough for terminal server.

Limiting the memory that SQL can use will effect SQL's performance.
