I use Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer for stored procedure programming.but I do not think it is easy to use.do you know other tool that is easy for stored procedure programming. Thanks

You can use QA to debug SP's

Expand the DB
Expand Stored Procedures
Select the SP you want to Debug and right click on it
The last option is to debug

No sorry - I find QA useful once you get used to it

Just what is it you don't like about Query Analyzer? Maybe it does what you want, you just don't know how to do it. It took me months to find some of the best functionality of Query Analyzer (and usually by someone mentioning it in an offhand manner here.)

Enterprise Manager should not be used to create stored procedures. It really has no functionality to help except for a syntax check.

I can;t think of anyone I know who uses a non-Microsoft tool for creating stored procedures.

Questions about posting. See faq183-874

I can't help agreeing with SqlSister. I used to use VB's tools to build & test scripts and it was useless - no indication of which line was in error and no colour enhanced syntax. Discovering Query Analyser was a breath of fresh air.
