SQL Server Connection Problem.

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Client unable to establish connection.

When i tried to connect the server on port 80, result was succesful and if i try on port 81 i encountered this error. Why it is happening like this?

Which version of SQL Server are you using? Which network library? What is the listen on port on the SQL Server? The default TCP/IP listen on port is 1433. Terry L. Broadbent
