It worked just fine last Friday
I can see the database just fine in Enterprise Manager and my VB6 program is using the same login
Crystal reports gives the error and also if I try to create and ODBC connection to it in Data Sources in Control Panel.

Error # -2147189176 Login Failed.
Details: 42000: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot open database requested in login ‘Benchmark’. Login Fails

TIA

You should always post your software version... You tell us the database, that you're using VB6, but not the software that you're inquiring about.

Do you mean that your VB6 program is calling a Crystal Report, and that fails, or that you tried Crystal Reports itself, and it fails, and ALSO your VB6 program uses the same login without difficulties?

Try crystal by itself, if you have a standalone version.

Sorry, verion 10
that's what I am doing using crystal by itself
I think I fixed it by deleting the login on the SQL server and recreating it.
