The SQL server was Ok one day and the next day, it gave error message 'Unable to Connect'

Everything is fine except the SQL server just does not connect.

Did u add SQL Server in CLient Network utility?

Are you referring to the SQL Server tools such Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer? Are you trying to connect from a work station or on the Server itself? Is "Unable to connect" the complete error message? If not can you post the complete message. We need more information if we are to help you. Terry L. Broadbent - DBA
