I'm fairly new to SQL Query Analyzer and I'm having a problem. When I put the 'Results to File' using Excel, the format is all messed up. I can cut and paste, but the field names do not come over. What is the best method to use when putting the 'Results to File'?? Another problem is that some of my results will be to large for Excel, so what type of file should I use? We have Crystal Report Writer here but the issue with this is that there are only a hand full of us that have Crystal. So my options are Excel, Text, Access.

All help is GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks

Best bet is to choose to save the results of the query to text, from the Query menu in SQL Query Analyser.
Execute your query, and the results will appear in your Query Analyser window, with the column headings. You can then copy and paste this into a text editor, or excel.
