Running SQL Profiler in prime time, extracting lots of data. It stopped itself, apparently running out of resources. Later, closing down SQL Profiler apaprently caused SQL to failover, which was not what was expected, or wanted. Any Tippers seen any similar problems?

Thanks.

How exactly did you set up the profiler? did you do a save to file or insert into table for the data collection? Might be a space issue if you did an insert to table.

Set it up to write to files, max size about 100Mb. Not aware of it writing to tables. Our theory is that there was so much activity in closing profiler that there wasn't enough capacity for SQL to updates its files. But its only a guess.
