SQL Loader issue

SQL*Loader-704: Internal error: ulconnect: OCIServerAttach [0]
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name

I am using DOS to connect into SQL Loader using command line ......

>sqlldr uname/psswd control=file.ctl

even tried ...
>sqlldr uname/psswd@instance control=file.ctl

but get the above errror

any help appreciated.

Are you sure $ORACLE_HOME and $ORACLE_SID are set and match the tnsnames.ora entries?
