SQL licenses

Hey all,

I'm alot confused about how the SQL license works, because as we research the license issue I'm finding contradicting info. So here's the deal, I have 2 SQL databases located on 2 different servers, do my users need a seprate SQL license to log into the 2 different database or will 1 SQL license allow the user to access both databases?

Is there a seperate "database license" and a seperate "user license"?

That always has been a tricky question.

Where I work we have over 300 SQL servers and they are all licensed per processor this way it makes no difference how many users access.
