I am backing up SQL 7.0 server with Legato NSR and getting a MSSQL message back saying "Login failed - Not a trusted Connection". I have other SQL servers that backup fine. Is this there something within SQL that needs to be changed?

What SQL login is Legato using?

Apparently, Legato is attempting to login with a trusted connection. A trusted connection must be a valid NT login and SQL must be setup for NT authentication. If Legato runs on a different server than SQL 7 then the login must be a domain account or setup up as trusted in NT on the server running SQL 7. Terry

Possible incompatability with the local SQL server starting from the Local account vs. a NT login w/ rights to log in as a service.

Is your server starting with the local system account as the service start login?

If you start the SQL service with a admin level acct, I would assume that the trusted connection issue will resolve itself.
Hope this works
