Just a quick (dumb) question:

Q: We have 1 Server running Win 2000 Server with MS Exchange 5.5 and MS SQL 7. We currently own Backup Exec 8.5. Why do we need to purchase the SQL and Exchage agents? Does it not back them up when we do a full system backup?

Any help answering the questions is appreciated...

Cheers

The databases won't get backed up if your SQL and Exchange services are running, 'cos they'll be being used - to back them up you either need to a)set up batch files for your full system job to shut down SQL and Exchange before it runs and start them once it's finished, or b) use the agents.
