SQL 7 vs SQL2000 (backups and restores)

If I only have SQL 7 on my machine and want to take a backup of a SQL2000 database from another machine, the only way I can get that database on my machine is to install SQL2000 first and restore to SQL2000. Is there any way of converting a SQL2000 database to a SQL7 format and then restoring?
