I am currently running sql 7.0 on my NT4.0 machine and need to upgrade to sql2000. Are there any known problems associated with this upgrade? Can 2000 even run on NT4.0?
And if so, is it stable? Please help...

Thanks for any help.

yes it will run on NT 4 server, make sure you install all the patches so you dont have to go through those again

try to start from this chat session on the Microsoft web site

you may have to do some more homework on how to backed up your existing database in case of probelm upgrading

if you can't accept any down time
it would not hurt if you have a spare machine to setup a standby SQL 7 server on the side in case of roll back

I would also get the tech support's number ready just in case
