Hi,
I have a client that I'm building a solution for. We're building a "throw away" app, and trying to focus our creativity on the database. They have chosen to use SQL 2K as the DB server. Due to a lack of a good rule base, the db will be less stringent than it should be.
I forsee a need for the management to "correct" data in the database until they can solidify their ruleset. What tools are available to allow querying and tweaking/updating of SQL 2k? Do the MS OLAP services allow for updating? Are they simple enough for slightly-above novice users? Any 3rd party products can be an option as well.
(I saw this summer's posts on Crystal Reports & Crystal Info, I was wondering if any other products had become available.)
Any direction is appreciated.
thanks
