SQL 2005 Sp1 Installation Woes

So,

Has anyone tried installing Sp1 for SQL 2005 yet? I have been having troubles with it, and frankly have little hair left on my head from it.

When installing, I get 'A recently applied patch kbxxxxx failed to install' on Database and Analysis services, everything else installs fine.

I originally had a problem with even getting the install to run, to fix this I had to stop 'Full Text Indexing' and 'Integration Services'. After a restart of the server once the service pack is applied, the sql service account will need to be added back to the service permissions (or it will not start).

this is from the MSDN forums, and like many 'Live DB mirroring is the reason for the need to upgrade to SP1'
