I have SQL 2005 as a back end database and Access 2003 using 2000 default as the front end on the same machine. I am connecting with ODBC between the two. I have link tables in Access to the SQL 2005 and if I do a delete query I get the message "Could not Delete from Table". I figured it was permission related so I tinkered for about 2 hours I eventually got one of four tables to delete and append, however I cannot get the other 3. I have checked all of the permissions on the database and each table. Since I can do this on one table in my database why can't I delete and append the other tables??? I'm very frustrated with this, as I come from Enterprise manager background and not Studio. Can anyone give some suggestions or any help and or direction.

Thanks, Stan

Linked tables in Access need to have defined unique keys or they are not updateable. Do you have a primary key onthose tables? I've also had problesm if they had a bit field. In those cases I needed a timestamp field to make the table work properly.

Your probably right. I have a primary key on the one and no key's on the others. I'll give it a try tonight. Doing a project on the side...Got to love it. thanks.
