SQL 2000 Memory Specs

SQL 2000 Standard can only handle 2 GB of Memory

If I create a second instance of SQL, can i have each instance handle 2 GB each? Or do they share the memory?

I have been searching Microsoft's site, with no luck.

They can each handle 2 GB of memory.
