Sporadic DNS problems

This is strange...

We are experiencing sporadic DNS problems that are keeping users from browsing websites and binging by name. I have restarted the DNS service serveral times and even shutdown the server, let it sit for a few minutes and brought it back up. After a few minutes everything will be back to normal and then it will drop again.

Nothing is showing up in eventvwr and I think the problem is with the forwarders.

How can I isolate this problem? Even the server support rep thinks it is one of those strange anomolies.

You can try querying the forwarders directly to see if they're having problems.

Im still building my DNS experience, is there a special way to query a forwarder?
