Spool32 error

Hi. I am running Win98 SE, and printing to an HP LJ4050. Several times each day, I get a error message that Spool32 has caused an imvlaid page fault at Kernel32.dll. Here is what I have tried, and now I am out of ideas:
reformat hard drive
new printer drivers
all Windows updates
replace spool32.exe and spoolss.dll files
all fixes in Microsoft article on spool32 errors

Any other suggestions (other than relocating PC to railroad tracks) would be greatly appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to print and what application are you using to print from?

I am printing from several apps. Excel, IE, etc.
