Hi,

Is there anyway to net send a message without the receiving party being able to know where it came from?

Specefically, I'm interested in sending messages to folks i work with as if they came from the server or the printer.

Thanks,

rich

i think you can do this if you have novell client installed. If your company has a Nerware environment then you can right click the 'N' in the taskbar then send message to any user name in the list.
If you net send a message in the command prompt, the user will probably see the ip address or host name. I can't remember. hope this helps otherwise download an Ip Spoofing program

If you send using the Novell Client, yourusername will be displayed as the sender.

Sounds like a bit of a dodgy question to ask to me. -----------------------------------------------------

why do you say that?

There are tools that can do it. I have used one effectively, but deleted it and don't know where to get it from sorry...

You can try this one, but I have never used it so can't claim how well it works.
