Hi everyone! I don’t think there is a way to do this but I thought I might just throw the question out there to see if anybody has discovered a work around.

Is the anyway to establish a 3 way conference call on a 2616 or 2008 set and have the ability to split the conference so that one of the members can be dropped /disconnected.

I think I remember 2317 sets having this feature via one of the soft keys that said “split” but I am not aware of a way to do it on an Aries set.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!!

Ron

Have you tried 'Selectable Conferee Display' in the NTPs? You can select once of the conferee's and disconnect.

he's right, i used to have that on my station and yes it does exactly what your requesting

Or No Hold Conference (NHC). Establish the call with the party that will remain for the long haul, the press NHC and dial the second party. When they answer, it will connect (or press # after you dial the number and it will connect faster), once done with the second party, press the original DN key and it will drop off the second party.

Thanks so much for the help!!

I knew if there was a way this forum would have the answer!!

what a great resource this is.

Thanks

Ron
