I have a VPN connection that a few remote sites use to connect in an in-house system. I have a PIX running 6.3(1). The remote sites are using vpn client 3.6.2(B). Split tunneling is enabled to allow the remote sites to browse the internet and print to local printers. A new site was added just recently and I have run into a problem. It seems that the split tunneling is not working for this site. They connect via the VPN okay and can access the in-house system but cannot print to their local printer. They also cannot connect to the Internet when connect to the VPN. With the split tunnel in place the other sites have no problem doing any of the above.

The trouble site is behind a Cisco 1721 on their end. Any idea on what might be causing this?

Thanks for any insight!

Sounds odd, maybe an old client at this site ? What does the statistics say in the client, is it bypassing any packets. Try pinging the name of the printer/printserver by it's name from that client, it could be a dns/wins issue.

Actually there are 4 computers at this site and they all experience the same problem. I think my next step will be to upgrade the clients to version 4.0. I will also check the client statistics and try to PING by name. I know the PING by ip address does not work.
