Hi all

amongst our trunk groups we have 2 which have one ISDN30 each, 30 channels. One (Trunk 21)is heavily used, the other (Trunk 24) very lightly. Can I allocate some of the channels from the ISDN30 in Trunk 24 into Trunk 21? Is it just a case of taking one or more members out of 24 and adding this port into 21? I have tried this and can see the 31st member sitting idle all the time even when all 30 other members are in use, so clearly there is more to it

Thanks

No,
that would cause an issue with the signaling,
But the other way around is no problem. If there is no design reason to have two groups, you could create a single group of 60 members. Additionally you could ask your provider to send all your numbers/calls to all channels that way.My first easy fix would be to see what route the outbound calls take. If they use the heavily used one, reroute those through the lighter used one.
