Hi there. I do think these two problems her are linked but so far my efforts to solve them have failed miserably.
We have a user who has Outlook 2000 & Word 2000 on an XP Pro platform.
Custom dictionary is not available in Word 2000 if he wants to add a word. Also in Outlook 2000 when he tries to spell check he gets the error "An error occurred whilst spell checking".
I have tried exporting the whole proofing tools registry key from a working pc (same build) but this hasn't solved it. I have tried changing value data of custom dictionary in registry to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof\custom.dic
but still didn't work.
I have tried setting up the proofing tools to run from his computer (both using Office 2000 & Outlook 2000 disks) and I have also added in a .dll file as recommended on Microsoft website.
I really don't know what else to try! Any ideas anyone? I'd really appreciate the help in cracking this one.
