Hi folks. One of my colleagues has asked me whether Oracle or a third party produces a spell checker (UK English) which can be used to check notes entered in the database for misspellings as the latter would be embarrassing if used as evidence in court, as they might in some cases.

I have found several examples of such a facility, but would appreciate any opinions/advice on tools people are using out in the field. Thanks in advance.

I want to be good, is that not enough?

Thanks Synapsevampire - I'll let our people see this.

Ken - I was hopeful you had found an 'add-in' for SQL*Plus there that would check my table names and syntax for typos. *sigh* I'll keep dreaming of that one then!

The question should be [red]Is it worth trying to do?[/red] not [blue] Can it be done?[/blue]

Fee,

Try this SQL*Plus command:
Code:
set dwimnwit on
This is SQL*Plus's Do What I Mean Not What I Type command. <grin>
