Isn't there some way to get print data out of my desktop's print spool and onto my Phaser 740's SCSI hard drive faster?
At present, the essentially empty 4GB drive pretty much just sits there waiting while the printer "wakes up" from Energy Star mode. In the meantime, my print job(s) are stuck waiting for several minutes in the spool, often generating timeout warnings.
Can't the system be tweaked to get print jobs to move promptly to the printer's hard drive to await the 740's readiness? This would seem to me to be a more efficient use of that external drive...
Can anyone help here???
