Speed Dial Speed

All,

Is there anyway to slow down the speed of the IP 500 dialing a speed dial? When dialing Internationally, about every 4th or 5th time, the C-LEC says it only sees about 10 digits instead of the full number. 4.2.11.

I don't think so. As far as I know just use the comma after the digit to slow it down. 9,18008884444 or 9,1,800,888,4444 would probaly work.

I thought the same, I put a comma in after 011, then at random other spots in the number but, after the comma, the 500 quits sending digits.

it needs to dial awfully fast to be to fast for the line to recognize the digits, did you monitor the line and listened into it? Is it happening on all lines or just certain ones? try if you butt set is dialing also as fast and if it also happens.

It's called over a LD T1. If I monitor, I see the digits going across and out. The C-LEC is the one saying the 500 is not sending all the digits. I know it is sending but, to convince the carrier and the customer, I want to slow it down to see.

T1 is digital and the digits are going over via transmission of the digits encapsulated in the data stream, how can you slow that down?
or do you have analog interfaces into the T1 somehow?

I'm not trying to slow down the digits across the T1, I'm trying to slow down how the IP 500 dials them in speed dial. I guess I should have been more clear in my post.

It's ok, I got tech support finally to fix the issue. All is well now. Don't know what they did, they went through VNC on my laptop though the DTE port.
