Hi

Is there a way of specifying which colour to use for a particular group when using a pie chart. I have seen that it is possible with a bar chart but not a pie. When I run the chart for four pie slices the colours are fine - but when say there are only 2 or 3 the colours are incorrect. I need for example cash to be red, equities to be blue etc and if they are not in the chart then those colours not to be used.

Many thanks for help - it would be very much appreciated!

You do not say which version of Crystal, this works for CR 9 and above not sure about earlier versions.

Create Chart

In design mode Right Click Chart and select Chart Expert

In top left there is a check box "Automatically set chart options" Uncheck and new tab appears "Options"

In new window Chart Colours click Format this allows you to define colours. You will need to know every condition so that you can define colours for all scenarios.

Make sure you do this is design mode as some times when I have done it in Preview and the chart is repeated in a Group header/footer some times only that group chart is changed.

If you need more info go to help and search for Chart color
