Hi

Im using Crystal 8.

I have used specified grouping for the first time and it works as expected. However is there a way to get the specified named groups to display on the report.

For example

I have the a group based as follows :

GH2 - SYJOBTRN.WORK.STAGE

Sample records

S00511
S00512
S00522
S00525
S00526

The specified order group for this is called Structures

SYJOBTRN.WORK.STAGE starts with S00

On the actual report is displays the workstage S00511 (first record?)

What I want is for the report to display the specified group name of Sructures, is this possible ?

Thanks

Chris

Don't use the automatic "Group Name" on the report - replace it with a formula that generates a name based on the Structure of the current record.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

If you go to report->group expert->your group->options->customize name->x+2, you can add the Structures field, and this will then appear as the groupname.
