We currently print compliment slips from a Word template. I want to do it from Quark, but we use symbols from Web/Wingdings for our contact details (e.g. a little globe next to our web address). I've tried selecting the typeface and typing every key on the keyboard, but the characters I use don't come up.

There MUST be a way to get these extra characters ... mustn't there?

Any help gratefully received!

If you are using a Mac you can press modifier keys like shift and/or option to type addional charaters. a little app called keycaps will display a keyboard with shows which images are mapped to each key.

If you're not using a mac, then in a program like word, go to the insert menu and select symbol. from there you can select fonts and characters but i dont think it tells what the actual key is.

there is a keyboard 'mapper' under the start button somewhere on PC's also - just select the typeface and it should be very straightforward!

Kind Regards
