On the Mac, the bullet in most fonts is opt-8. There are bullets in some of the other fonts, such as Zapf Dingbats, Symbol, or the other symbol fonts. You can also on the Mac use a raised dot (Opt-shift-9) where the built-in bullet is too strong. Hope this helps.
