I just wanted to get a feel for what level of scoring or required hits anyone running Spamassassin is using. I left it at 5 for a while but a few whiners (upper mgmt. whiners) forced me to bring it down to 4 because of V*I*A*G*R*A and other pharm. spam. I am getting tired of building whitelists and was just wondering what the general concensus was out there ?

I set mine at 2.5.

I setup an account called spamtrap that I forward all spam to. Then I just check it once a day to see if anything was triggered that I want to keep. I'm down to only receiving about 5 spams a day instead of 100 like before. I'm also only seeing about 1 or 2 legit emails being flagged as spam every couple of days. Now I only have about 15 items in my white list and everythings seems to be running smoothly.

But, I'd rather build a small whitelist than a humongous blacklist.

Thanks Bierhunter.
