space at top of table

I am new to DW and have set up a new table on a front page but when I view the page in Internet Explorer (F12) there is a gap of about half an inch from the top of the page to the start of the table and I want to remove this gap.

how can I do this? I have searched everywhere int he help file to no avail.

Check for extra tags in the code

etc. Also make sure that all page margins are set to "0" in the page properties.

Also make sure to use CTRL+J to look at the margin settings for the page.
The margins - if not set specifically - are set to browser defaults.
Inspect the <BODY> tag for margins.

Modify---Page Properties---all margins =0
