Hi

I have a flash disk, was working fine with my HP Desktop. Installed XP SP2, now when I plug my memory stick in, my PC reboots. Nothing is logged in event viewer. I tried to update USB drivers, no difference..

Has anyone seen such an issue??

Thanks

See if Automatic Restart is enabled.

Click Start > Right Click My Computer > Select Properties > Click the Advanced Tab > Click the Settings button under the "start up and recovery" heading > Make sure the "Automatically Restart" tick box is UNticked.

Now your computer should display a Blue Screen instead of restarting. Let us know what that error is and we should be able to track down the problem.

Contact HP. Hp (and Dell), had problems upgrading to SP2. There were actually downloads and changes you were to make before installing SP2. You may have to roll back to SP1, make changes, re-install SP2!
