SP1 Install -- AD/Forest Rights Required

Going to install SP1 today (Saturday). Our server is a member of a larger Exchange organization. I know that SP1 has been installed by the administrators of the Exchange domain on at least one server.

Do you need any kind of administrative rights to the AD/Forest to install -- which I don't have? I ask because upon researching yesterday, I saw a screen shot on the web of an SP1 install where there was some updating of the forest, etc. I'd like to assume this would not be a requirement if any updating of the schema has already taken place by the admins with the initial install.

Thanks.

as long as you're installing w/ Exchange Admin rights, you should go good. Also, you may have to apply "WindowsServer2003-KB831464-x86-ENU.exe" patch prior to installing SP1. Good luck.

M3John: All went well except for my anti-virus software which seemed to loose its' dependency relationship with the Exchange store after the SP application. An uninstall/reinstall of it did the trick. Thanks.
