Hi,
whats is the best way to record sound that is coming in through the mic socket on a soundcard? (via VB6)
I also want to be able to save as a wav file and start recording again and save to a different file.

This has been discussed here before. If you do a keyword search for the subject line you used you will find results. Also search on 'Record Sound'.

Many of these posts say to use the multimedia control to do this.
